Discover your future: Open Campus Day at the JLU Gießen!

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the Justus Liebig University Gießen (JLU) invites you to the "Open Campus Day 2025". The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Philosophikum I campus area on Otto-Eatzhel-Straße in Gießen. The motto of the event is "Discover the campus - your future starts here!" And aims to inform those interested in study and the general public and bring them closer to the university. The Open Campus Day 2025 offers an ideal opportunity to find out more about various courses and research fields.

The opening takes place at 11.15 a.m. at the info point in the parking lot, where the tour with JLU Vice President Prof. Dr. Alexander Goesmann will begin. In addition to information about around 50 stands that provide information about courses and professional perspectives, visitors can expect a varied program with artistic activities, VR excursions, archaeological exhibits as well as exciting experiments and quizzes.

A highlight of the Open Campus Day are the trial lectures and campus tours that provide a direct insight into student life. Special offers such as guided tours in the theater laboratory (Bismarckstraße 24a) at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. are part of the program. Various institutions are available for a comprehensive exchange of information, including the foreign office and the central study advisory service. The Center for Teacher Education will also be represented, which offers information on teaching courses for all school types. The Gießen Student Center will also be on site to answer questions and advise potential students.

The visitors have the opportunity to talk to students and teachers in a relaxed atmosphere. Movement offers and a hammock park have for breaks. Snacks and drinks are available in the break Cambus, while lunch in the cafeteria is offered by cash.
