Border controls in the region: Unauthorized entry into Ostritz and Zittau

In a number of events in the region, federal police have found several unauthorized entry. On June 7, 2025, around 12:40 p.m., a hint from a citizen led to a patrol in Ostritz, where three Somali men between the ages of 20 and 29 were discovered and taken into custody. After completing the police measures, they were immediately sent back to Poland.

Two days later, on June 9, 2025, two Ukrainians, 28 and 29 years old, tried to enter Germany at the checkpoint in Friedensstraße in Zittau. Since they could not show any valid residence permit, they were also reported and rejected to Poland and the Czech Republic.
