Process against former RAF terrorist Clette: Murder can be checked!
Stuhr, Deutschland - The trial of Daniela Klette, a former terrorist of the Red Army Group (RAF), will continue on June 17, 2025 before the district court in Verden. CLAPTER is charged with attempted murder, unauthorized gun ownership as well as attempted and completed heavy robbery. The procedure disintegrates into several relevant sections that affect both the acts and the person themselves.
The public prosecutor accuses Clette of having committed a total of 13 raids on money transporters and supermarkets in connection with its alleged accomplices Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg between 1999 and 2016. The total damage amounts to over 2.7 million euros. The attack is particularly concise on a money transporter in Stuhr, in which shots fell in June 2015. This incident led to the indictment of attempted murder, whereby the investigation by the public prosecutor was considered critical, since the Celle Higher Regional Court expressed possible doubts about the allegations. The district court has already announced that it would deviate legal information.
The role of defense
The defense of burdock vehemently rejected the allegations before the start of the trial and describes the indictment as poor, especially with regard to the allegations of the attempted murder. CLAPTER itself emphasizes that it is innocent and speaks of state "denunciation" and "media agitation". During her arrest at the end of February 2024 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, weapons, dummy of a hand grenade, hand cuffs as well as a kilogram of gold and more than 240,000 euros in cash were found in her apartment at the end of February 2024.
As part of this procedure, the accusation of larger terrorist attacks does not matter. However, there are arrest warrants against burdocks and their accomplices in connection with assumptions about their participation in terrorist attacks in the past. The Federal Prosecutor's Office also accuses compliance with three explosives of the RAF between 1990 and 1993, although membership in the RAF has already been statute -barred.
the historical classification
The Red Army Group, founded in the late 1960s, was a militant group that became known for numerous robberies, kidnappings and attacks. This group revolutionized the standards of combative resistance to the state and saw itself as part of a global revolutionary movement. The first acts of violence, propagated by leading heads such as Andreas Baader and Ulrike Meinhof, were formed in response to social injustices and as a protest against the state.
In the years in which the RAF was active, there were a number of violent clashes, including bombings and raids that led to a deep division of society in the Federal Republic of Germany. The RAF is still an important topic in German history, and its deeds raise questions about political motivation and the consequences of militant actions.
The trial against Daniela Kette is therefore not only perceived as a legal procedure, but also as a direct connection to the moving history of the RAF. CLAPTER and their accomplices are at the center of allegations that affect not only personal fates, but also the memory of a time of militant resistance.
