Voluntary first aiders in Asbach: Lifeguard in action!

In the Assbach community, the first aid system, which was launched on August 1, 2024, has already trained over 60 committed citizens to qualify life rescuers. In the past ten months, these helpers have been alerted more than 20 times and introduced life -saving measures before the emergency services arrived. This is particularly important in rural areas where every minute counts - in the event of a cardiac arrest, the probability of survival per minute without resuscitation measures decreases by 10%!

The extensive training of first aiders includes both theoretical and practical components. This includes extended resuscitation training, the operation of defibrillators and complete first aid equipment. Regular further training ensures that the helpers are always well informed and fit for an emergency. Thing clear: every second is used to save life!
