Mental state of emergency: the police must calm man in Bad Homburg

Louisenstraße-/Schwedenpfad, 61348 Bad Homburg, Deutschland - An extremely dramatic incident occurred on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Bad Homburg. At around 12:39 p.m., the police were called for an assignment on Kurhaus forecourt after a 51-year-old Italian shouted loudly and was apparently in a mental state of emergency. Despite the intervention of the police patrol, the man did not calm down and resisted when he was arrested.

Only through the use of physical violence could the aggressive man be brought to the ground and fixed. An emergency doctor finally came to help and sedated the angry Italian. He was then taken to a clinic in the Hochtaunuskreis for further treatment. According to initial information, however, the man did not commit crimes. The situation was dramatic, but without further legal consequences.
