Safe on two wheels: Bicycle coding at the fire brigade festival in Oberursel!
On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Oberursel police station will be present at the great 100-year-old festival of the fire brigade Oberursel-Bomersheim! From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can expect an exciting program in the streets around the fire station on Kalbacher Strasse. At the information stand, friendly civil servants are available for discussions and offer a free bicycle coding - a measure that makes bicycle thieves difficult and relieved to return stolen bikes.
But that's not all! An exciting noise course with noise glasses and a reaction test with blazepods are waiting for the visitors. The bicycle coding is simple: an individual identifier is engraved in the frame and a sticker shows that the wheel is encoded. If you want to participate, you need your ID card and proof of ownership besides the bike. WARNING: In the event of new wheels, the manufacturer's guarantee could expire through the punching! It is advisable to check the frame number in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises. Be there and protect your bikes!
