Cat paradise in block angle: The new home for velvety souls!

In the Gut Aiderbichl Katzenland near the Ballermann Ranch in Blockwinkel, the first saved cats have recently found a new home. As the Kreiszeitung Annette Engelhardt and her husband André brought into her 20,000 square meter cat paradise. Here the operators converted a former Resthof into an inviting refuge for cats.

The project includes a cat villa with 260 square meters and offers space for various habitats. In addition to a special cat lodge, which measures around 50 square meters and offers space for around 45 cats, there is also a workshop and three baths. Unlike a typical animal shelter, the Gut Aiderbichl Katzenland is designed as a home for cats who are often considered "forgotten" animals and have lost their home in the past.

The first steps in the new home

When they arrived, the cats were initially frightened and hidden themselves. After a few days, however, they started exploring their new surroundings. Some of the cats suffered from health problems and needed immediate veterinary attention. After four weeks, the animals already show progress and have made confidence in the supervisors. Engelhardt emphasizes that the cats decide how to proceed and only act as "staff".

Among the saved cats is also a mother cat called Bella, who received special care when saving her four kittens, Bo, Berti, Bienchen and Beauty. Evelyn, a committed animal rights activist, lovingly took care of her, as can be read on the website of Gut aiderbichl . The playful kittens are gradually developing into trusting residents of the new cat country.

cat rescue as a joint task

The support for the many cats is not only carried out by the operators of the cat country, but also by numerous volunteers. A website called Katzenretter.org has committed to listing rescuers that help with the securing of cats in emergency situations, e.g. from trees or roofs. These volunteers are dependent on donations to finance their important missions.

It is emphasized that although these rescuers cannot offer medical care, they represent valuable support in emergency situations. The prerequisites for a successful rescue are clear: The cat's whereabouts must be known, and a person must be on site to take care of the cat after catching. Other organizations and projects, such as Dogman Tierhilfe e.V., also work with similar goals to help animals in need.

The combination of the personal dedication of animal rights activists and the extensive renovations in the Gut Aiderbichl Katzenland not only open the saved velvet paws a new home, but also a second chance of a happy life.
