Concert highlights: nostalgia, blues and jazz in the region!
In the region between Pirmasens and Saarbrücken, a lot is happening in the field of live music this week. The live music club Z1 in Pirmasens is organizing a nostalgia concert this evening, which begins at 8:30 p.m. The All Stars Band under the direction of Michael Bixler is supported by musicians from the past 40 years. The band The Gangsters will appear as a special guest. Unfortunately, interested parties have to do without ticket sales, since there are no more tickets available, such as Rheinpfalz
The Z1 Musikclub has been a central event location for music lovers in Pirmasens since its reopening at the end of 2022. This association, founded in 2012, pursues the goal of continuing the tradition of the former music club 'Parkplatz®' and offers a platform for both regional and national and international artists. With a new, larger stage and the original "Z1 Bar" in the new next room, you want to keep the charm of the old Z1 and at the same time create a modern flair, as can be found on the website of the club Z1
upcoming events in the Homburg music summer
In addition, the Homburg music summer will take place on Friday, June 6th. The band Black Stuff, which has been active since 1984, will appear here. The band is known for their mixture of blues, soul and funk and will perform classics from artists such as Etta James and Stevie Wonder. The concerts at the Homburger music summer are free of charge, which offers a great opportunity for music fans to enjoy live music.
Then, on Saturday, June 7th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Zydeco Annie & Swamp Cats will play on the Homburger Marktplatz. This will be a special occasion, since Zydeco Annie says goodbye after 20 years of stage presence. On the same day, the Lulu Weiss trio will also present jazz at 8 p.m. in the Kammgarn cultural center in Kaiserslautern. The trio consists of Lulu Weiss, Rainer Northoff and Peter Leonhart and will play jazz manouche and his own compositions.
other musical highlights
On Sunday, June 8th, there will be two special concerts: The Blues duo The Vintage Men will perform in the church on Lorenzberg in Saarbrücken at 8 p.m., while Real Blue also plays that evening, supported by the singer Heike Stark. In addition, the hardcore band HateBreed will appear in the garage in Saarbrücken on Thursday, June 12, while they are on tour with the band Carcass. This series of concerts shows the variety of live music offers in the region and is supported by organizations such as the live music commission, which represents over 750 music clubs and festivals in Germany, as can be found on your website Livekomm
Tickets for the concerts mentioned are available via the platforms regiactive.de and reservix.de. So nothing stands in the way of an unforgettable musical weekend.
