Kitchen fire in Binz: Fire brigade saves 15 residents out of danger!

In the night of May 28th there was a dramatic fire in a multi -family house in Binz, Dollahner Str. 37. Around 00:45 a.m., the rescue control center reported the alarming incident in which the kitchen was on the ground on the ground floor. Firefighters immediately hurried to help and certainly evacuated a total of 15 residents from their apartments.

After completing the extinguishing work, it turned out that a technical defect in the dishwasher had triggered the fire, which resulted in a damage of around 10,000 euros. While the fire brigade ventilated the building and took care of security, an older couple aged 60 and 70 were taken to the hospital for observation - luckily there were no injuries to complain. Fire teams from Binz, Sassnitz, Zirkow, Bergen and Putbus were in use to control the situation and prevent worse.
