Ludwigslust: MV-Tag 2027 planned with a big party-the relay handover carried out!

The city of Greifswald experienced a happy festive event last weekend at this year's MV day, which took place from June 20th to 22nd. Numerous visitors celebrated on the market square and in the museum port: inside, while a colorful program provided entertainment. The opening on Friday evening at 7 p.m. attracted many people, and the band Marquess ensured an exuberant summer party. It was a festival of encounters and exchange in the heart of the city.

On Saturday, the events started at 11 a.m. with a concert by the state police orchestra. Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig and Greifswald Mayor Stefan Fassbinder headed the official festival opening at 12 noon. Visitors were able to look forward to a varied offer: children's programs with kika figures, sporting highlights and musical performances that culminated in the evening with NDR 1 Radio MV and the appearance of the singer Joris. A special highlight of the event was the handover of the relay team to the city of Ludwigslust, which will be hosting the MV day in the summer of 2027. Mayor Stefan Pinnow accepted the baton on Sunday at 4 p.m. after a solemn ceremony. He was impressed by the organization of the current MV day and looked optimistically at the celebrations in two years. He expressed respect for the many committed ones who made the event possible in Greifswald and promised an equally inviting atmosphere in Ludwigslust.

District Administrator Stefan Sternberg also announced the participation of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, which will also be represented in 2027. Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig, who presented Stefan Fassbinder's baton, praised the role of the many volunteers and the successful three -day celebration at Greifswald Bodden.
