New Netto marketplace in Lübz: Bigger, more modern, opening chart!
Something is happening in Lübz! Patrick Muranko, area manager for expansion east at Netto Markendiscount, recently announced the opening of a new Netto store for November 2023. The new store will be located on Ferdinand-von-Schill-Straße, where a Netto branch has been available to customers since June 29, 2010. But the old building has had its day: As you know, only two walls and part of the floor plate remained of the old market, the rest was torn down. These are the signs of the times – and the new building should bring a breath of fresh air.
The roof of the new building is almost finished and a crown already decorates the future main entrance. To ensure that Lübzers are still well supplied during the construction phase, an interim branch was opened at Feldstrasse 46 in April 2025. This ensures that no one has to go without their usual purchases.
A space offering with a fresh concept
One of the most exciting innovations: The sales area will be increased from 770 square meters to around 1000 square meters! The concept not only provides for a large window front, but also an open ceiling construction. Environmental awareness is very important here - a heat pump system and later a photovoltaic system are also planned.
An important partnership was also renewed with the Lau bakery, which was already represented in the market and will now also have an area in the new concept. This gives the people of Lübzer the opportunity to enjoy freshly baked bread and pastries every day.
