New playground in Dodow: Minister Backhaus brings millions of millions!

The joy of a new playground in Dodow is great, because Agriculture Minister Till Backhaus (SPD) has now brought the good news about the funding provided. During his visit, the minister brought a decision of 12,500 euros to be used to build the playground. The total costs of the project amount to around 19,000 euros. Mayor Kurt Bartels underlines the need for such scope for the children of the community and is optimistic about the implementation of the project. "We need enough space for our little ones so that they can play and develop," he emphasizes.

The current situation in the community is particularly explosive: the old kindergarten, which offered 56 places, had to be closed due to the harmful evaporation. The facility is classified as necessary when the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim is necessary, but all applications for funding were rejected. "We have to act quickly to end the distribution of the children to the parish hall in Dodow and the daycare center in Boddin," continued Bartels. The community sees itself in a difficult location and urgently needs support to build a new daycare center.

A wide range of funding opportunities for playgrounds

The playground initiative, supported by various organizations, aims to renovate, supplement or redesign scope in Germany. The prerequisite is that the scope is publicly accessible to all children and young people. Projects receive funding of up to 8,000 euros, depending on the respective project. The active participation by the children themselves is particularly emphasized, because creative ideas and wishes can flow directly into the planning. The initiative not only applies to public playgrounds, but also to schoolyards, youth farms and similar facilities. At the moment, however, it should be noted that municipalities cannot submit any applications and that the deadlines for submitting applications in March and September end (dkhw.de).

This is particularly important for communities such as Dodow who have a clear need for new venues and childcare places.

The municipality is working hard to improve the living conditions for its youngest residents and faces the challenge of acquiring the urgently needed funds.
