Rocker party in Parchim: A feast of community and music!

Parchim, Deutschland - On June 15, 2025, the annual meeting of the Parchimer Rocker Treff took place, and the RT Club showed that it was still in top form even after years. As the Nordkurier reported, several hundred visitors from all over Germany flocked to the camp of bikers, where festive atmosphere, much grooved meat and beer were waiting for them. The band "Devi Jones" heated up properly with hard, rocking sounds and provided a relaxed atmosphere among the participants.

The RT Club, founded in 1981, today has 28 members, led by President Marko Karon, who is one of the younger ones at the age of 50. The age structure is mixed in the rocker scene: the oldest and most experienced among them is Klaus at an impressive 82 years, while the youngest Christopher is only 23 years old. Within this unique milieus, a real community has developed in which the fun of motorcycling, screwing on the bikes and the cohesion represent great values.

joint activities and future plans

across the vintages, the “screwdriver lesson” is an integral part of club life, which takes place every Monday with ex-President Olaf Barsuhn. Particular attention is paid to the 14-year-old Magnus Karon, who has rebuilt his Simson for years. For 2026, the RT Club even plans an anniversary celebration with the revival of old games, such as "Trabi Rollen" or drinking from bed pipes, which should provide a lot of fun. A small highlight is the view of coming together after Pentecost next year.

The recently broadcast ZDF Info Documentary "Rocker in Germany", which ran on December 14th, also contributes to the cultural perception of the rock scene in Germany. As Bikes Music and more , the three-part documentary has highlighted the development of the German rocker scene since the 1960s and shows that it is possible to present this subculture differentiated without supporting the common clichés of crime. The former Bone MC member "FIPS" gives insights into the origins of the clubs, some of which were shaped by the influence of the US Army.

A look at the rocker scene

rockers are part of a motorcycle -driving subculture that comes from the USA and has developed in Germany since the 1960s. As the wikipedia , they often organize themselves in motorcycle clubs (MCS) and deliberately limits themselves from bourgeois standards. Typical features are wearing leather or jeans vests, the presence of tattoos and driving modified motorcycles. Despite their often negative representation in the media, the rocker scene is a microcosm of the community, freedom and cohesion.

Overall, the rocker scene remains a multifaceted culture that is not easy to press into a drawer. This also makes it clear at the RT Club in Parchim that in addition to the hard shell, there is also a heart for community and tradition that is expressed in every screwdriver lesson and every meeting.
