Serious rear-end collision on the B104: Two injured and closed for hours!
On Wednesday morning, June 20, 2025, a rear-end collision occurred around 7 a.m. on the B104 between Brüel and Cambs, which not only had a significant impact on the affected occupants, but also on the further course of traffic. According to reports from NDR Two women and a man were slightly injured in the accident. They had to be taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
The accident happened as follows: A vehicle wanted to turn while the car behind was unable to brake in time. This resulted in the turning vehicle being thrown into the ditch opposite and remaining there on its side. The estimated material damage is around 50,000 euros, which is no small feat. The B104 then had to be completely closed for around an hour in order to carry out rescue measures and ensure that the accident was recorded. The police have already started an investigation into the cause of the accident in order to shed light on what led to this incident.
Road safety in focus
Such traffic accidents are not uncommon. The current statistics show that accidents happen all the time in Germany and are a growing issue in road safety. The Federal Statistical Office collects detailed information about accidents and aims to develop measures to improve traffic education, road construction and vehicle technology.
The analysis of such data creates the basis for state transport policy, which is particularly important in infrastructure and traffic safety policy. The results make it possible to understand and categorize accidents and the factors responsible for them. Accidents during the transport of dangerous goods are also recorded, which also contributes to general road safety.
It remains to be hoped that through education about the causes of such accidents and ongoing research efforts, safety on our roads can be sustainably improved. Drive carefully and remember that a moment of inattention can have serious consequences.
