Viva España: Airbeat One Festival brings top DJs to Neustadt-Glewe!
Today is the big day for all electronic music fans! The Airbeat One Festival is taking place at Neustadt-Glewe airfield, and the anticipation could hardly be greater. Under the motto “Viva España”, the festival site is transformed into a Mediterranean paradise with Spanish flair. Here visitors can expect not only impressive stages, but also a colorful range of cultural highlights.
Main acts and highlights
This Saturday the main stage will be headlined by two greats of the music scene: Armin van Buuren and DJ Neelix. Armin plays on the impressive 200 meter wide stage, modeled on the famous Sagrada Família, and brings his greatest hits as well as new tracks. Neelix, on the other hand, will captivate the audience with his progressive psy sound. But that's not all! Hardwell will create a great atmosphere on the main stage with his big room sounds, while Amelie Lens will delight lovers of electronic beats with uncompromising minimal techno.
Another highlight is Paul van Dyk's appearance on the Second Stage, where he presents his new album “This World Is Ours”. The other acts also ensure a top-class line-up: Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike rely on pyrotechnics and interaction with the audience, and Timmy Trumpet combines his live trumpet with groovy hard psy drops.
Spanish seduction for all senses
The festival site is a real feast for the eyes with flamboyant walking acts and decorations that breathe Spanish life, including an impressive bull. Flamenca dancers make the stage shake and create an exciting atmosphere that perfectly underlines the motto. If you want to enjoy the surroundings, you will find a variety of culinary delights in the Spanish-inspired food stalls.
Yesterday's start to the festival began spectacularly with an opening that brought Steve Aoki and Afrojack onto the stage. Aoki was not only known for his poppy vocals and impressive hardcore drops, but also for throwing cakes into the audience - a real crowd favorite! Afrojack delights with his Grammy-winning EDM anthems and manages to get the crowds celebrating.
The history of the festivals
Airbeat One is part of a long tradition of electronic music festivals that has been booming in Germany since the late 1980s. The Love Parade, which began as a political demonstration in 1989, grew into the largest festival of its kind. Even though the last few years of the Love Parade were marked by tragedies and financial difficulties, interest in electronic music and festivals remains undiminished. The Love Parade was revived in 2022 under the new name “Rave The Planet”, which underlines the ongoing desire for communal celebration and music [imusician.pro] reports.
The Airbeat One Festival, a real star in the festival sky, shows once again that electronic music connects and encourages celebration. The remaining days promise just as much excitement, with more top DJs and an unforgettable experience for all participants. If you're not there yet, you should get going - there's a lot to discover!
