Eight new ambulances handed over to the Mecklenburg Lake District!
The rescue services in the Mecklenburg Lake District are happy about a breath of fresh air. On October 1, 2025, Thomas Müller, the second deputy of the district administrator, handed over a total of eight new vehicles on the premises of the rescue company in Neuendorf, which are intended to improve the rescue service within the region. The new vehicles not only have a fresh design, but also feature the latest technology that efficiently supports the emergency services.
The handover includes the following vehicles:
Technical innovations in the rescue service
A special highlight of the new KTW is the integrated carrying chair lift. This makes patient transport much easier and ensures greater safety for both the emergency services and the patients. The new vehicles will also be equipped with an airline rail system that allows wheelchairs, walkers and luggage to be transported. According to the following information from RKiSH, which has a vehicle fleet of around 200 vehicles, the focus is on safety for employees and patients at all times of the day and night and under all weather conditions.
But that's not all: more vehicles are already in sight. In mid-October, three more KTWs are expected for the Waren Ost, Friedland and Malchin rescue stations. Next year, more precisely in March 2026, the delivery of six more KTW is expected. These developments are part of a continuous effort to further modernize and optimally equip the rescue service.
Readiness to operate across the country
In Germany, as the Maltese emphasize, there are around 22,000 vehicles available for emergency services, including ambulances, ambulances and emergency medical vehicles. On average, these vehicles are deployed more than 16 million times per year. With around 41,000 emergency calls per working day, the new vehicles have the potential to make a decisive contribution to improving response times and operational readiness. The emergency services can now concentrate even better on caring for patients, which is particularly crucial in acute emergencies such as traffic accidents or heart attacks.
The handover of these new vehicles is therefore not just a simple event, but a significant step towards an optimized emergency service structure in the region. You can say: Not only is good business being done here, but a big heart is also being shown for people! This makes life in the Mecklenburg Lake District a little safer.
