Bloody camping vacation: Woman beats man with meat tenderizer and sends him to the hospital!

A relaxed camping holiday can quickly become unstable, as two incidents at campsites in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania show. Loud Northern Courier A dispute broke out between a husband and his wife in Mirow on Wednesday evening. A third party became involved, which resulted in a physical altercation. The man who arrived injured his husband in the head with a branch, who then had to be treated in hospital. The attacker sustained minor injuries. The police launched an investigation into grievous bodily harm and simple assault.

But the events didn't stop there. On Tuesday, just a day earlier, another bizarre incident occurred on the island of Rügen. There, a 75-year-old vacationer from southeast Brandenburg attacked a 26-year-old vacationer from northern Brandenburg with a meat tenderizer. This attack came after a verbal argument that broke out during the night. The 26-year-old suffered a slight headache from the blow to the head, but fortunately he was spared serious injuries. Interestingly, the young man had a breath alcohol level of over two per thousand at the time of the incident, which further complicated the situation. The police secured the meat tenderizer as evidence and initiated an investigation against the elderly woman on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. However, as the authorities noted, cemetery items such as meat tenderizers are not exactly the right tools for resolving neighborhood disputes, as a police spokesman noted: “Meat tenderizers belong in the kitchen, not in the neighborhood dispute,” reported NDR.
