Children and youth swim to medals: 15th edition in Röbel!

Röbel, Deutschland - On July 8, 2025, the waves bubbled in the swimming pool of the Müritz Therme Röbel and offered a perfect backdrop for the 15th edition of the children's and youth sports games in swimming. After a five -year break, both the participants and the organizers were full of anticipation and energy. The TSV 90 Röbel had sweatshirts at the start to warmly welcome the 50 swimmers from Röbel and the surrounding area. The event was organized in close cooperation with the KSB Mecklenburg Lake District, which ensured smooth implementation.

A total of over 50 swimmers between the ages of 7 and 18 took part. They completed various disciplines, including 50 and 100-meter lines in freestyle, chest, dolphin and back as well as the demanding 100 meters. The competition in the 2014 age group was particularly exciting, where up to ten participants argued for victory. As always, it shows that competitions love the challenge!

The swimmers did not burn anything in the competitions. Oskar Biemann, born in 2010, shone over 50 meters freestyle with a time of 0: 30.2 minutes. Just behind, Damien Sosniecka from the 2008 vintage followed 0: 30.6 minutes. In the overall ranking, Clara Wontroba in particular attracted attention, the proud six gold medals took home. Her retirement fellow Lena Fichtner followed close to it and secured four medals. This made the entire event an exciting competition spectacle. The honors after the competitions rounded off the day in a festive atmosphere.

After the competitions that took around two hours, it was shown that we can continue to rely on a lively interest in swimming in the region. The TSV 90 Röbel currently has around 100 swimmers in seven training groups. Hie and there would be a good hand to continue to promote the growth of small talents.

There is gratifying news for all sports enthusiasts: The next children's and youth games in swimming are already planned for the next year. For 2024, too, the sports enthusiasts can look forward to a colorful program that, in addition to swimming, also includes devices and judo competitions. The dates have been determined and promise an exciting season for young sports talents.
