Remplin without a daycare: the community lacks children and money!
in Remplin, a small town at Malchin in the Mecklenburg Lake District district, there is currently no positive news for families with young children. As the NDR will not be reported for the time being (Daycare) set up. The reason is the very small number of children in the community, which currently only counts 24 children. The prospects for the daycare situation in Remplin are apparently on the brink.
The local conditions are not easy. A new operating license for the daycare center was refused last year because the old manor house no longer met the necessary requirements. In addition, the community lacks the money for the renovation. The children, who were previously looked after in the "Schloss-Kinner" daycare center, were distributed to surrounding facilities-most of them to Basedow.
A new investor could bring hope
The city of Malchin has even decided to sell the entire estate ensemble to improve the situation. According to Nordkurier has an investor, an architect from Düsseldorf, interest expressed. This plans to build a new children's facility and would like to acquire the entire Remplin Gutshausen ensemble.
A preliminary usage concept stipulates that an architecture office is moving into the former theater road, while the attic is intended for the expansion of apartments. In addition, a care facility could be built in the old estate administration house, possibly in cooperation with the Evangelische Foundation Volmarstein. What is planned for childcare are modular rooms on the back of the ensemble, while the middle part of the daycare situation is reserved.
But the takeover by Astrid Remer, who originally wanted to hand over the daycare center to her daughter, remains uncertain so far. Some children are temporarily included in the daycare center in Basedow, while others have chosen Malchin.
The whole project is also accompanied by a construction committee that has received the plans positively.
The need for daycare centers remains
A central question that raises these developments is the generally growing need for daycare places. According to the information from Destatis there is a legally stated legal right to a kindergarten place, which for many municipalities means that they deal intensively with the expansion of their care offerings must. In Remplin, however, this demanding need is still not covered.
In times when good early childhood education is becoming increasingly important, the development in Remplin is a sobering thing. The investor could bring a turn, but until the time has come, the future of Remplin childcare remains uncertain. It is to be hoped that the situation will soon improve and Remplin will again be an attractive point of contact for young families.
