Construction site does not hinder: Castle festival in Penzlin attracts thousands of visitors!
There is an exciting event on the program in Penzlin: the popular castle festival is once again drawing numerous visitors to the historic town. The start of this cultural highlight is on Friday, August 22nd, from 4 p.m. with the cheerful ensemble performing “Pirate Songs from the Box”. Live music and an exciting fire show on Friday evening promise the best entertainment. On Saturday it starts at 10 a.m. with a fairytale-like Cocolorus fairy tale game, followed by the official opening spectacle at 11 a.m., which provides action with theater, knight fights and acrobatics. Saturday evening also promises a feast for the senses with another fire show as well as dancing and music.
Sunday, August 24th traditionally starts with a service at 10 a.m. Things get exciting in the afternoon when a medieval casting show and a scavenger hunt for children are on the agenda. Construction site and diversions in Demmin
In the nearby town of Demmin, important construction work in the Kahlden Bridge area will begin on Monday, August 18th. These will not be without impact on traffic: initially the bridge will be partially closed and a complete closure is planned from August 27th to September 5th. An official diversion leads from Lake Kummerow. For drivers, this means they need to be patient while the work progresses.

Parallel to the castle festival in Penzlin, there are two exciting events on Saturday, August 23rd that you shouldn't miss. The Flashback Open-Air takes place in Altentreptrow, where hits from the 90s and 2000s create a really good atmosphere. Admission to this event is free and starts at 8 p.m. The SeenFest on the Amtwerder in Feldberg also invites you: from 10 a.m. visitors can enjoy music, a dealer mile and a comprehensive children's program. From 6 p.m. DJs will heat things up and from 8 p.m. the party band “Right now” will take over the stage.
