Gadebuscher students discover the pilgrimage path: a trip full of adventure!

Rehna, Deutschland - What's new from Gadebusch? Under the motto "pilgrimage", ten students from the Gadebuscher high school set out to get to know the region and get to know themselves better on a three -day hike for almost 60 kilometers. The first stage led the young adventurers from Wismar to Grevesmühlen, where they discovered not only breathtaking landscapes, but also with retreat for the soul. In this pilgrimage hike, which was implemented as part of the religious class, in addition to the physical challenge, personal borderline experiences were also on the program, which particularly demanded and motivated the students. According to Nordkurier was the second pilgrimage day a real challenge, as the group around 16 kilometers from Grevesmühlen coped with after Rehna. The exchange took place in the pilgrim barn next to the Rehna rectory. Here the students were able to reflect on their experiences and thoughts.

The hike offered the perfect framework to deal with the concept of pilgrimage. This is in accordance with the general increasing popularity of pilgrimage in Germany, which was mainly triggered by the "Kerkeling effect". More and more people, regardless of their religious faith, discover the pilgrimage paths for themselves. The aim is often not only to go on a distance, but also to start internal processes, such as rpi-virtuell . The path itself becomes the goal, in which personal development and spiritual experience go hand in hand.

cultural and spiritual experiences

On the third day, there were other exciting activities. After all, the students visited the historical monastery of Rehna, such as Nordkurier . Before that there was a visit to the St. Nikolai Church in Wismar, which was certainly a very special cultural experience for the students. Such excursions are more than just resting from the pilgrimage-they offer a valuable opportunity to get to know the history and spirituality of the pilgrimage better, shown .

In class before the pilgrimage hike, the students were prepared for the trip. The content ranged from the discussion to personal motivation for a pilgrimage to practical application. Here it was worked out how each individual student could design his own pilgrim route - in the sense of spirituality and self -reflection. Stations such as "The Source of Clarity" or "The Mountain of the Challenges" stimulate the creative argument and make the pilgrimage a deep, personal experience.

a lasting experience

An exciting suggestion for other students who are interested in the pilgrimage offered teachers René Alex by enabling the participants to give a short lecture in religious education through their impressions. An excellent opportunity not only to reflect on the pilgrimage experience, but also to take a good grade.

Overall, the pilgrimage not only brought a sporting challenge for the Gadebusch students, but also valuable insights in themselves and the history of the pilgrimage. The hike will certainly leave a lasting impression, and maybe it is the beginning of a long pilgrimage that still reveals many ways.
