Tank fraudsters in the Rostock district: Police asks for help!

The police in Rostock are faced with an enigmatic tank fraud, which has caused a sensation since August 2024! A total of 23 incidents have already been registered, in which unknown perpetrators with a vehicle and several fuel canists appear somewhere in the Rostock district and beyond petrol stations in order to use illegally. After refueling, they simply left the stations without paying a cent! The damage caused so far goes into thousands.

The Güstrow criminal commission now asks the population to help identify the suspects. It is unclear whether the acts may be carried out by a single person. Pictures of the perpetrators sought have been published on the police website. The police are hoping for information from the population, while the media and radio stations are called to support the public search and to spread calls. Anyone who has seen something is asked to report!
