Rostock Seawolves: On course for the second round with a win against Antwerp!

The Rostock Seawolves are on the fast track: With their recent win against the Windrose Giants Antwerp, they have earned a brilliant starting position in the Europe Cup. The Seawolves triumphed 75:63 and are close to moving into the second round, which will begin in December. This good news not only brings joy to the fans, but also a bit of hope for the coming basketball season.

The game was hard to beat in terms of excitement. The Seawolves started strong and led 30:21 at the start. But the Giants didn't give up and fought their way back to 39:37. A 13:3 run by the guests temporarily put Rostock in trouble, and so the Seawolves went into the final quarter with a score of 53:56. But the top scorer of the evening, Lukasz Kolenda, who scored a total of 20 points, and DeAndre Lansdowne, who also shone in the decisive phase of the game and scored seven of his 15 points in the final period, ensured that the victory was secured.

The next step to group superiority

The Rostock team is now determined to win the group. An important home game against FC Porto is scheduled for November 19th at 6 p.m. A win would not only bring additional points, but also seal the lead in Group B. It will be exciting next Sunday, because the Seawolves can no longer be pushed out of the first two places - and that is a real sense of achievement for the entire team.

Speaking of the team: the player statistics speak for themselves. In addition to Kolenda and Lansdowne, Kassim Nicholson, with 15 points, as well as other teammates such as Baggette (6), Classes (4) and van Vliet (7) also contributed to the pleasing result. This makes playing basketball fun again!
