a ray of hope for the future
The plans for lunch skills stipulate that the new society will be founded from July 1, 2024. Until then, talks have already been discussed about the location of a new large kitchen in Rostock, which should also create the first jobs - up to 75 new bodies could result. A cook and chill procedure is chosen for preparation for food, which enables storage of food for up to three days without loss of quality. A maximum of five euros are provided for each court, whereby only one cent profit will be sought per serving, such as Rostock reported.
It remains exciting how the citizens will decide and whether the new “lunch skills” can really improve the food in Rostock schools sustainably and healthy. The next few months will show whether the city will succeed in convincing children and parents of the new concept and reviving the afternoon supply in Rostock.
