Syrian robbers on the run: Police hold perpetrators in Schwerin!

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, a 28-year-old man of Syrian origin was arrested in Schwerin. Previously, a 25-year-old woman had chosen the emergency call at 1 a.m. after her handbag was violently snatched in Lübecker Strasse, not far from the railway underpass. The injured party reported that the suspect had followed her on her way home and that she asked with the request to be able to use her cell phone. When she rejected, he grabbed her bag and pushed her aside. Fortunately, the woman could prevent a fall.

After the attack, she followed the perpetrator, but lost an overview on Severinstrasse. She then found her handbag at the place of freedom, but the money card and the mobile phone were missing. She quickly alerted the police, which began with a nearby search. The suspect was caught at Marienplatz, where the stolen money card and various drugs were secured. However, the mobile phone remains unable to find it. The criminal police are now investigating the Narcotics Act.
