An exciting day for volleyball fans in Münster: USC Münster fought its way into the quarter-finals in the Zoi-DVV Cup with a convincing 3-0 win against Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt. In an exciting game that ended the sets 25:18, 26:24 and 25:16, the team led by coach Matthias Pack was able to prove its dominance. Despite the short-term absence of captain and middle blocker Esther Spöler, the team was ready and showed a unified performance that thrilled the spectators. Only in the second set did the team briefly falter when Emilie Respaut from Erfurt delivered a dangerous series of serves.

Coach Pack was proud of the implementation of the match plan. “The quality of the team was clearly shown today,” he said after the game. With this success, USC Münster moves into the quarter-finals where they face the strong SSC Palmberg Schwerin. This game will take place on the weekend of the 22nd/23rd. November in Schwerin. Sports director Ralph Bergmann emphasized that the pressure is now on the SSC's shoulders, as Münster had already won against Schwerin this season. So an exciting duel is coming up!

Basketball fever in Cologne

The move of the final from the SAP Arena Mannheim to Cologne is a real coup and opens up new perspectives for players, fans and partners. The first final will be held in the Lanxess Arena on February 27, 2027, where the best German women's and men's teams will meet. Numerous side events, hands-on activities and workshops are also planned to further promote interest in volleyball.

The city of Cologne, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Arena team are behind these exciting developments.
