Protect your bike: free coding in Greifswald!

Marktplatz Hansestadt Greifswald, Deutschland - The Anklam police inspection is fighting a new campaign against bicycle thieves! From now on, bicycle codes are offered regularly to offer bicycle owners security. The first coding event will take place on the marketplace in Greifswald on June 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Further dates will follow until August, including several locations in the region.

The participants must bring their identity card, proof of ownership and the cordless key for e-bikes. The individual code is supposed to deter dogs and bicycle thieves because it is difficult to remove and enables rapid identification of stolen wheels. The police also recommend that bicycles always secure bicycles with robust locks and to complete them at firmly anchored objects. Information on bicycle coding and tips on the theft prevention can be found on the police websites.
