Together against back pain: Greifswald couple triumphs in fitness!
In Greifswald, a couple shows how fitness training together can not only sustainably improve health, but also the quality of life. Since March, Eckhard and Marion Witt have decided to actively combat Eckhard's chronic back pain. The two are not just motivated fitness friends - they are also a wonderful example of how we can support each other. Eckhard, 66 years old, suffered from severe back pain for many years and had already undergone four spinal operations, but the symptoms remained persistent.
However, since they started training regularly twice a week at the Greifswald sports club, Eckhard's pain has disappeared. The Milon circle you use automatically adapts to the individual needs of the user - a clever technology that simply works. In addition to circuit training, the Witts also take part in a special fitness course for people over 55, led by trainer Melanie. “We feel reborn after every training session,” reports Marion.
Joint training as a recipe for success
The training not only improved Eckhard's health - the relationship between the two also strengthened. Marion emphasizes that regular exercise is essential in old age to stay mobile and avoid injuries, such as falls. Even though they initially struggled with exhaustion, they were able to quickly get used to the strain. “It’s a privilege to do something for your own health,” says Eckhard.
Professional support in the sports club is particularly important to both of them. They appreciate the individual approach and the motivating atmosphere that prevails there. While Marion had not previously exercised regularly during her career, she now sees training as an integral part of her life and derives a lot of energy from it.
Staying fit as you age – an important message
It is important to both of them to share their experiences with others and show how important it is to stay active. Together they motivate themselves to every training session and look forward to what the next few months will bring. Ideally, they want to not only continue to improve their fitness, but also set an example for other couples who may be struggling with similar challenges.
Overall, the Witts project is not only a success for your own health, but also a great example of how you can overcome challenges together. Her journey is an encouraging message for everyone who may still be hesitant to take the first step - together we are stronger and fitter!
