A very special project from the Greifenwerkstatt in Greifswald is creating pre-Christmas anticipation this year. The workshop, which offers people with disabilities career prospects, has released its popular Advent calendar. This is already in its third edition and is supported by the Pomeranian Diakonieverein. For just 5 euros each, lucky hunters can purchase their ticket and look forward to a variety of hand-made prizes. Every tenth ticket wins! Baltic Sea newspaper reports that the total edition is limited to 1000 pieces, which adds an extra sense of urgency to the purchase.
The profits come from various areas of the griffin workshop. These include products from the woodworking shop, the gardening center, the delicatessen factory as well as delicacies and creative works from the studio, cheese dairy and ceramics workshop. Given a total value of 2750 euros, there is definitely something for every taste!
Sales locations and participation process
The coveted Advent calendar tickets are available in several shops in Greifswald: in the Café Lichtblick, in the Pommerngrün natural food store and in the bicycle workshop on Feldstrasse. The proceeds from the sale benefit the griffin workshop and are used for leisure activities and group activities, which makes the whole thing even more valuable.
Anyone interested should hurry up as lots are limited. To take part in the lottery, all you have to do is buy a ticket and receive a personal winning number. From December 1st, one door can be opened every day and everyone hopes that their number will be drawn. The winning numbers will be announced on the website of the Pomeranian Diakonieverein, on the Facebook page of the Ostseeländer Circle of Friends and in the shop windows of the sales outlets. The winnings can then be picked up at Café Lichtblick. Pomeranian Diaconia makes it very easy!
