Drunk attacker threatens rescue workers on Rügen – investigations underway!

An incident at the “Am Wasser” campsite near Breege-Juliusruh on the island of Rügen is causing a stir: On Tuesday evening, November 11th, 2025, a heavily drunk 38-year-old man attacked and threatened the emergency services. According to Ostsee Zeitung, the man showed uncooperative and aggressive behavior towards the police officers during the incident.

It is not yet known what exactly the reason for the police operation was. The man resisted and also made inflammatory statements. The officers had to intervene and order a blood sample to be taken. The criminal police have now started investigations and are examining suspicions of incitement to hatred and physical attacks on law enforcement officers and threats.

Consideration in leisure activities

Such incidents cast a shadow on the otherwise relaxed atmosphere that campsites offer. The Campingplatz.de platform lists numerous places in Germany and throughout Europe where relaxation and good coexistence are very important. Here holidaymakers have the opportunity to search for campsites, rate them and exchange their experiences with others.

Campsites are available in many European countries such as Belgium, Italy, and Spain and offer an excellent way to enjoy nature and spend relaxing days. But this idyll can quickly be disrupted by unforeseen events, as the incident on Rügen shows. Campsite.de users can not only find out about suitable places, but also share their travel reports and take part in a forum to exchange opinions.

An important appeal

For many people, camping is a way to spend time in nature and escape from everyday life. However, the events on Rügen make it clear how important it is to treat each other with respect and consideration. The investigation into the incident is being carried out by the criminal police, who are now doing everything in their power to clarify the background.

The lucidity and security situation on campsites should be guaranteed in the interest of all guests. After all, camping not only means sleeping outdoors, but also being part of a community that respects and respects one another. It is therefore necessary that incidents like the one on Rügen do not become the norm.
