Deutschland - The German automobile manufacturer Mini recently announced the introduction of new electrical John Cooper Works models. The two new vehicles, the three-door Cooper and the SUV model Aceman, mark an important step in the electrical mobility of the company.

The electrical mini cooper is driven by a 190 kW (258 hp) front engine, which develops a maximum torque of 350 Nm. What is special about this model is an overdrive function that offers additional performance boost for ten seconds. With an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, the E-Cooper exceeds its turbo-driven counterpart by two tenths seconds. The top speed is limited to 200 km/h.

The prices for the new models start at 40,650 euros for the John Cooper Works Cooper and at 43,150 euros for the Aceman, which is considered a small SUV with a length of 4.08 meters. Equipped with a 54 kWh battery, the e-coop offers a range of up to 371 standard kilometers. The charging capacity is 11 kW of alternating current and 95 kW of direct current, which means that the vehicle is ready for use in the shortest possible time.

The basic version of the electrical cooper offers a range of 305 km (WLTP) and the SE- and JCW versions even reach up to 402 km. While the prices for the basic versions start at 28,150 euros, the entry price for the John Cooper Works Electric is 40,650 euros. In particular, the range of the basic version is primarily designed for city trips.

The technical data of the models show impressive values: Cooper E offers 135 kW (184 hp) and accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, while Cooper SE does 160 kW (218 hp) and does this in 6.7 seconds. The John Cooper Works achieves its acceleration in 5.9 seconds.

The interior of both models was designed with a focus on modern digital experiences. Equipped with a round touchscreen and an OLED display, the vehicles offer six "experience modes" that adapt both the display and acoustics. The high-quality materials such as knitting polyester show the claim to combine both functionality and comfort.
