The aim of this initiative is to inspire young people for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT) and to make the practical closeness of these subjects tangible. With the support of a network of regional partners, including schools, companies and extra-curricular learning places, a varied and interactive program is offered, which conveys the various aspects of the MINT formation in a playful way. The program includes a variety of exciting activities. The civil engineering department invites you to test bending beams from chocolate, while mechanical engineering encourages the participants to start water rockets and to explore the dynamics of technical systems. The areas of electrical engineering and computer science offer practical experiments from power electronics and the possibility to design their own electronic circuits. External partner groups, such as the student research center North Hesse and the Max Eyth School, enrich the day of action with other creative and educational stations.

The hands -on stations are the highlight of the action day. Children can become active here and receive a surprise as a reward. The projects include the MINT van of the student research center, 3D printing offers from Future Space, mathematics games from the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg School and soldering exercises by the Max Eyth School.
