On Whit Monday, June 9, 2025, the traditional mill festival took place in Sulingen-Labbus. The Mühlenverein Labbus, which organizes the event, reported on a pleasant number of visitors, despite bad weather forecasts. Bernd Finze, the 2nd chairman of the association, expressed satisfaction about the response, especially with regard to personnel bottlenecks that were created due to illness -related cancellations. The seasonal event typically attracts thousands of visitors and at the same time makes an important financial contribution to the preservation of the historical windmill.
The Mühlenfest 2025 offered a colorful mix of technology, music, entertainment, handicrafts and culinary delights.
