Great fire in Edewecht: Fire brigade fights for the flames!

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, at 02:15 a.m., a huge fire broke out on the coastal channel road in the Jeddeloh II district of Edewecht. The roof structure of a currently vacant single -family house was on fire when the volunteer fire brigade, the emergency services and the police were alerted. When the emergency services arrived, the roof structure was already badly affected, and the adjacent federal road 401 had to be temporarily closed to enable the extinguishing measures of the Jeddeloh II, Husbäke, Edewecht and Elmendorf.

The fire brigade fought the flames with all his might and was finally able to control the fire. During the mission, a fire brigade member suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. So far, there has been no information about the amount of damage and the possible cause of the fire. The fire site was confiscated and the investigation to clarify the incident.
