On Monday morning, a fire broke out in a car on a parking area on Schloßplatz. The Aurich fire brigade was alerted at 07:06 a.m. and met a car that burned in the engine compartment. The first deletion measures had already been initiated by employees of the adjacent castle building with several fire extinguishers. The fire brigade was able to quickly contain the fire in the front part of the vehicle, but the smoke had already crossed the entire vehicle.

The owner of the car took care of a towing service independently. The fire brigade's emergency services ended their commitment after a final control of the extinguishing success using a thermal imaging camera. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the fire brigade thanked everyone involved for the quick reaction.
