On Friday morning, a defective smoke detector caused excitement in a accommodation site on the Ellernfeld when the fire alarm system triggered. The alarmed fire brigade Aurich was on site in no time and luckily found that no fire had broken out.

The detector, which was installed on the basement, triggered again despite the provision, which indicated a technical defect. A person responsible for the building immediately switched off the faulty device and now takes care of a quick replacement.
