Serious accident on A7: helicopter and rescue workers in action!
On Pentecost Sunday evening there was a serious traffic accident on Autobahn 7 near Hildesheim, which involved three vehicles. A 30-year-old man from Neumarkt lost control of his Lexus in a construction site after he had to slow down due to a traffic obstacle. A 54-year-old Braunschweiger behind him also reacted too late, and a 58-year-old from Holler crashed into her vehicle with his VW. The collision caused the vehicles to be pushed together and a 45-year-old passenger complained of severe back pain.
The fire brigade of Bad Salzdetfurth had to consult the rescue workers in order to gently recovered the injured. A rescue helicopter then transported her to the hospital. The driver of the VW was slightly injured, but did not require medical treatment. The accident led to considerable traffic disruptions: the highway was initially closed to Hanover for 15 minutes, after which the traffic was redirected. The traffic jams of 4 km towards Kassel and up to 10 km towards Hanover formed. The total damage is estimated on an average five -digit amount.| Details | |
