Safe drive on the L 425: Police checked motorcycles in Bad Münder

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the emergency services of the police commissioner Bad Münder carried out intensive control of motorcyclists in the district in cooperation with the Hameln-Pyrmont district and technical experts. The control took place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the popular motorcycle route L 425 on Lauensteiner Berg in Coppenbrügge and had the goal of increasing traffic safety and preventing serious accidents.

A total of 32 motorcyclists were checked. Particularly sensitive: a driver was caught with breathtaking 135 km/h on the L 425, which could be punished with a fine. This measure is only the beginning, because even in the rest of the summer, further contingents are planned for focus controls at various locations in the district to increase the security in the Weserbergland.
