Attempted theft in Bockenem: Perpetrator provided at construction site!

on May 29, 2025, around 3:00 p.m., an attempted theft was prevented at a construction site in Bockenem in Bockenem when two attentive witnesses noticed a suspicious van. The perpetrators, a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, pretended a vehicle breakdown to strike undetected. When searching the vehicle, the police found additional stolen goods from at least one previous act.

The vehicle that had no liability insurance was confiscated. Both suspects, from the Salzgitter area, are now facing several criminal proceedings for commercial theft and violating the compulsory insurance law. After their detection treatment in the police commissioner Bad Salzdetfurth, they were released. The investigation continues.
