Rapid motorway escape near Braunschweig: drug drivers placed!

On Saturday afternoon, a spectacular police operation on the A2 near Braunschweig caused excitement! The motorway police noticed a VW Passat, the driver of which was noticeable by risky driving style. Despite several stop signals, the sky -height driver accelerated and fled towards Hanover at top speed. A police helicopter was requested, while other patrol cars from the Garbsen motorway police also took part in the persecution

The chase came to an abrupt end when the 45-year-old driver left the highway at the Kohlenfeldt junction and continued to refer to country roads. In his desperate attempt to escape the police, he broke through several barriers before finally stopping in a dead end. But the officials were already hot on his heels and arrested him without resistance. When arrested, the man confessed to consumed drugs, whereupon a blood sample was taken. Several criminal proceedings are now underway against him, among other things because of illegal motor vehicle races and drive under drugs! The driver's license and the vehicle key were ensured.
