Drivers with open arrest warrants: 15,000 euros paid for freedom!
On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, the Hameln police carried out speed measurements on Pyrmonter Straße. At around 8:35 a.m., a 26-year-old man from the Hanover region was stopped and was supposed to ask for the cash register-there were several arrest warrants against him. But the way out was quickly found: with a payment of almost 15,000 euros, he escaped imprisonment and was able to remain at large.
But the happiness of the man didn't last long. He was also caught because of a ban on driving, which he had not fulfilled. His driver's license was ensured and a procedure for driving without driving license was initiated. In addition, he was unable to pay the warning money of 50 euros for his speed crossing of 14 km/h. Drama on the side of the road: an unpleasant meeting with the police that the young man will not forget so quickly!
