Terrible accident on A7: Fire brigade saves drivers from cars!

On Saturday morning, May 24, 2025, there was a dramatic traffic accident on the A7 between the Hannover Ost motorway junction and the Kirchhorst junction. A car raced under a truck saddle trailer and was dragged along before the vehicle came to a stop across two lanes. The driver of the car, although not trapped, had to be cared for by the emergency services due to his injuries and taken to the hospital.

The Ahlten fire brigade was alerted at 6:49 a.m., but was conducted to the A2 during the journey to the original scene of the accident. When they arrived, the emergency services not only secured fire protection, since operating materials expire from the car, but also helped the police to secure the accident site, which extended over several hundred meters and three lanes. After about an hour the assignment ended and the motorway police started the investigation. 18 firefighters and three vehicles were involved.
