Festival Aunt Mia dances: Peaceful course despite traffic accidents!

Vechta, Deutschland - On May 29, 2025, the largest electro festival of the northwest, "Aunt Mia dances", took place with up to 21,000 visitors in Vechta. The police reported a peaceful course without any noteworthy incidents, so that the emergency services hardly had to intervene.

In the same time, however, several traffic accidents occurred in the area. A 19-year-old driver lost control of his car in Bakum and collided with a tree on the side, with two passengers being slightly injured. A blood alcohol concentration of 0.68 per thousand was found. In Dohne, a 23-year-old motorcyclist fell and was seriously injured when he lost control on the rain-wet street. In the meantime, a 43-year-old motorcyclist was noticed in Lohne with 1.57 per thousand, which led to the confiscation of his driver's license. In a further incident in Damme, a 62-year-old pedelec driver and a 65-year-old pedestrian came together, both were alcoholic and suffered serious injuries.
