A serious accident occurred on the A7 near Soltau early Sunday morning. A 26-year-old driver lost control of his car around 3:00 a.m., raced from the road and overturned several times. The vehicle landed in a forest while the driver, injured, managed to make an emergency call. Due to its lack of local knowledge, the search for the scene of the accident took several hours until the car was found by a police helicopter around 07:45 a.m. The driver was immediately taken to a hospital, the investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.

In another incident, several burglaries in the Heidekreis caused excitement. Unknown perpetrators broke into a daycare center in Munster from Saturday to Sunday and caused considerable damage there.
