Bierde, Deutschland - A look away! Tragic traffic accident on Tuesday morning on the L 770 near Bierde: A Mercedes-van collided with a saddle tractor at the intersection to Ilserheider Straße! The 26-year-old passenger and the only one week old baby in the back seat suffered life-threatening injuries.

The 33-year-old driver from Nienburg wanted to cross the state road around 9:25 a.m. when the mischief happened. Despite full braking, the truck driver (58) could no longer prevent the collision and rammed the passenger side of the car with full force. The fire brigade had to free the young mother from the vehicle with a heavy device. Emergency doctors, four ambulances and two rescue helicopters were on duty! The Mercedes is now a total loss and has been towed. The scene of the accident remained closed for around four hours - a terrible drama on the streets!
