Rewe Team Challenge in Dresden: to stretch everything and weather warning!

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the annual “Rewe Team Challenge” takes place in the downtown Dresden. With around 30,000 participants who are fully booked, this event is a highlight in the current calendar of the city. Compared to the previous year, where 22,500 runners were at the start, there is a clear increase in interest and participation in the event. The starting area is located in Annenstrasse, near Postplatz, while the destination is in the Rudolf Harbig Stadium. The route leads via Ammonstrasse, the tunnel on Wiener Platz, Wiener Straße, the Blüherpark and the Powerzone on Lingnerallee. road closures and parking zones

  • Annenstraße has been completely closed to traffic since Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to midnight.
  • from 2:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m., Annenstrasse is closed to Parkstrasse.
  • Blüherstraße and Lingnerallee are closed from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.
  • Helmut-Schön-Allee is closed from 2:00 p.m. to midnight.
  • Lennéstrasse is closed from 4:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Parking zones in Annen- und Marienstraße on May 27 and 28, as well as for all roads in the route on May 28 from 9:00 a.m. to midnight, are considered an additional measure.

The good news for all participants: The journey by public transport can be designed free of charge via a combination ticket.
