Paderborn, Deutschland - A dramatic motorcycle accident shaked the B1 at Paderborn today! Around 12:00 p.m., a 65-year-old man from Plettenberg fell with his motorcycle when he turned from the A33 motorway to the B1 towards Salzkotten. In a right-hand bend he lost control and crashed into the VW Gulf of a 77-year-old Bochumer.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to a Paderborn hospital. His two opponents of the accident, the driver and his 75-year-old wife, suffered a shock, but fortunately they were spared a hospital stay. The damage to the vehicles amounts to shocking 16,000 euros, and both were towed as total economic damage. The B1 and the exit of the A33 were closed for 90 minutes while the investigation was underway. The question remains with this terrible incident: How safe are our streets really?
