Thanks to an attentive witness and a brave employee, the police were able to intervene quickly. Two of the perpetrators were held directly at the outcome of the market while their accomplice fled.

The police investigation led to a rental vehicle with Hamburg license plates that could be assigned to the suspect. During a search of the car, the officials came across further stolen goods.
