Orlando, Florida, USA - FC Bayern Munich will take Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof to the FIFA Club World Championship in the USA. The agreement on an early change from Bishop of TSG Hoffenheim zu Bayern Munich has now been confirmed. Hoffenheim's managing director Andreas Schicker was satisfied with the solution that benefits everyone involved. Jonathan Tah changes free from Bayer Leverkusen to Bayern.
Thanks to a special regulation of the FIFA, both players can be used immediately in the tournament. Without this regulation, Tah's use would have been possible at the earliest from July 1st. For Munich, it will be from Munich to Orlando, Florida, where the team will move into its base camp.
FIFA Club World Championship 2025
The FIFA Club World Championship will be held in a new format with 32 participating teams from 2025. The annual system with seven teams is thus replaced. Bayern start on Sunday, June 15th, at 6:00 p.m. CEST in Cincinnati against the New Zealand representative Auckland City.
The tournament, which will take place every four years, will be accompanied by numerous important clubs. The other group opponents for Bayern are Boca Juniors from Argentina and Benfica Lisbon from Portugal. For the members of Bayern Munich, this could be the opportunity to shine again on the international stage.

The last discontinuation of the club World Cup in previous mode took place in Saudi Arabia in December 2023. The new mode aims to ensure a larger representation of different associations and to adapt to the structure of the World Cup. The first tournament in the new format will take place in the USA in 2025.
