Serious accident on L792: Children and drivers fight for their lives!

Oelde, Deutschland - A serious traffic accident shook the L792 (Ennigerloher Straße) between Oelde and Ennigerloh on June 1, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. A 30-year-old man from Oelde drove with a 3-year-old boy, two 20-year-old passengers from Beckum and an 18-year-old from the Netherlands towards Ennigerloh when he got on the opposite lane for unknown reasons and collided with an oncoming sprinter team.

The consequences were devastating: the driver from Oelde was caught in the vehicle and had to be freed by the fire brigade. He was seriously injured with a rescue helicopter to the hospital. The 3-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries and was brought to a children's clinic. The other occupants were transported with ambulances in nearby hospitals, with the two 20-year-olds being released after outpatient treatment. However, the 18-year-old was seriously injured in the hospital. The driver of the Sprinter team was also seriously injured and came to the hospital. The accident site was closed for around 8.5 hours, while the police were investigating the cause of the accident.
